Hi, I’m Damon, It’s nice to meet you
You’d probably like to learn a little about me. Our story begins…
well we’ll just skip to the more pertinent parts and leave the rest for a sunny day.
Please excuse the third person narrative.
Damon has worked for a number of nationally distributed magazines as both a Designer and as Art Director.
He has seen the industry grow and morph from the use of stat cameras and paste-up boards to digital PDF
and pure web based workflows. Along the ride he even went beyond his origins, playing with letterpress &
hands on production of printing processes. He collaborated with many editors and managed as many artists.
Damon was lured away from publishing by an up-start advertising firm working on marketing campaigns
and retail product packaging. As the Creative Director, he lead the work of several freelance writers, artists
and photographers for production, and entered into the pure digital fray of web based solutions and delivery.
Damon always saw value in learning how systems worked in the backend, and so supported his staff while
saving money, and unbeknownst to him, creating a new career within the realm of systems administration.
A chance freelance web assignment led to Damon’s next adventure, the servicing and supporting of servers,
and desktops of an all Macintosh engineering consulting firm. Damon’s knowledge of the operating system
and hardware allowed him to refine existing systems leading to increased worker productivity and decreased
down time. As a Systems Administrator Damon worked to unite geographically disparate offices and staff to
the corporate headquarters as well as providing remote support for those staff. Throughout this time, Damon
picked up a healthy bit of unix and scritping knowledge that he’s been able to build on and continues to use
in his client work, saving them time, money and heartache. So all of this has lead us to where we are now.
And this is where you come in, and the third person drops. There hasn't been a job I haven't enjoyed doing,
evidenced by the package of services I provide today. I’ve combined my various experiences and knowledge
into an offering that supports the new models of business for our changing world. I am able to pull from a
vast field of knowledge that spans well beyond even my own talents to support your everchanging business.
